AMBER ERWIN WINS DISTRICT FCCLA OFFICE
Congratulations to Amber Erwin for competing and winning the secretarial position of the District A FCCLA Executive Council for the 2014-15 year. Before election procedures began, Amber was given five minutes in a secured room to handwrite the answer to an in-depth secured fact question from the Kansas State Department of Education to be later read word for word to the voting delegates. To begin the election procedures, Amber presented a three minute prepared speech on raising children to be leaders, then read her written answer to the state designated fact question, followed by answering a fun question with an impromptu response. She represented herself, her school, her organization and community in a very appropriate and positive manner. Amber did an excellent job. FCCLA members attending as voters and observer were: Landee McKenna, Quinlan Stein, and Alicia Arizmendis. It was a great day for all in attendance.
