THIRD PLACE STATE FINISH FOR LADY INDIAN VOLLEYBALL
The Hoxie Lady Indian volleyball team capped off a very successful season with a third place finish at the state volleyball tournament held in Hays, Kansas, on October 31 and November 1. On Friday, October 31, the Indians went 2 and 1 in pool play. The ladies defeated LaCrosse in scores of 25-23 and 25-21. Pratt-Skyline was the next opponent to fall with scores of 25-18 and 25-21. The only loss for the day was to Centralia in scores of 14-25 and 17-25. Saturday, November 1, saw the Lady Indians face Gossel in the semi-finals. The team came up short in scores of 21-25 and 20-25. The season ended with a win against Waverly in the consolation game with scores of 24-26, 25-21, and 25-23.
