We Like Ike!
The Hoxie 8th Grade traveled to Abilene for an educational visit to Dwight D. Eisenhower's library, museum, boyhood home, and the Place of Meditation. The field trip was made possible by a grant through Dane G. Hansen. IKE Education led the students on a guided tour that included a classroom experience about the Navajo Code Talkers. The group had an amazing experience and was told "Thank you for being Americans" and "tell your grandpas, and great uncles thank you" by a Korean lady that was visiting. She was so excited to tell our youth how vital America and President Eisenhower were to the people of South Korea during the Korean Conflict.
