Ava Spillman Wins Outstanding Artist Awards
Hoxie High School held its annual All-School Art Show featuring artwork from kindergarten through twelfth grade, along with the 7-12 Spring Concert, on May 1, 2025. A Hoxie resident judged the high school work and awarded an Outstanding Senior Artist, two-dimensional Best of Show project, three-dimensional Best of Show project, 24 gold stars, 35 silver stars, and 15 bronze stars awards.
All seniors were to represent their artwork on panels. Out of six seniors who displayed their work, Ava Spillman was named “Outstanding Senior Artist” for her overall artwork for the year. The “2-D Best of Show” Award was given to senior Mariah Barnett for her text collage. The “3-D Best of Show” was given to senior Hilde Heskett for her set of three clay bowls. The projects from these students clearly showed originality, craftsmanship, and beauty.
