JUNIOR VARSITY SCHOLAR'S BOWL PLACES 2ND IN ATWOOD
Hoxie High School took a junior varsity team to the Rawlins County Scholars Bowl Tournament on Monday, Nov. 18. Hoxie’s junior varsity team consisted of senior Quenton Rucker, junior Lisa Stone, and freshmen Jacob Munk, Noah Smith, Skyler Denio, and Katelyn Reitcheck. Hoxie was in a three way tie for second place. When the points were added up Goodland had 290 points, Rawlins County 280 points, and Hoxie with a total of 345 points, placing them second in the tournament. They were defeated by Colby High School who placed first over all. Other schools that participated in the tournament were Rawlins County, Brewster, Golden Plains, Goodland, and Oakley. Hoxie’s high scorer was Quenton Rucker with 270 points.
The next scholars’ bowl tournament is Monday, December 9 at Hill City High School.
