Hoxie Middle School Student Advances in International Peace Poster Contest
Hoxie Middle School art students had the opportunity this year to participate in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest, sponsored locally by the Hoxie Hot Rodders Lions Club.
As part of an art project, students followed the contest’s rules and guidelines to create posters demonstrating “originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme.” This year’s theme was “Harmony in Humanity,” encouraging students to illustrate how they envision peace with others.
Members of the Hoxie Hot Rodders Lions Club board selected 8th grader Amelia Gaede as the winner. Amelia’s poster will advance to the next level of judging, where it will compete at the international level.
Congratulations to Amelia on this wonderful achievement!
