Four FFA members headed to Goodland to compete in the agricultural mechanic contest at Northwest Technical College on Feb. 26. The four member team composed of junior Josh Heim, senior Chance Hoeting, junior Connor Katt and senior Tyler Kaus. They participated in four different divisions at the contests: welding, electricity, carpentry and diesel mechanics. The team placed first in welding and carpentry and second in electricity, one point from first place. Connor Katt was the third individual in welding and carpentry and placed sixth overall in the contest. Tyler Kaus placed seventh and Chance Hoeting placed eighth in the welding division.
