MILE HIGH FUN
As the Hoxie FFA members were coming back for school after their winter break, they needed to prepare for their trip to Denver. Approximately 40 members and 8 adults packed their bags and headed west on Jan. 13. When they got to Denver, they settled into their hotel and began the night's festivities. They started with the 16th street mall where the members stopped at many different stores and bought many different things. After the mall, the members prepared for Dave and Buster’s. When Dave and Buster’s came to an end for the members, they went to their hotel for a good night's rest.
The next day was filled with excitement and joy. The members woke up bright and early to participate in some ice skating. After ice skating, the members went to eat and then they headed the the Denver Stock Show. There the members walked around and look at many different stores, tested different types of products, went to the petting zoo, and watched the trade show. When the members were finished, they headed over to the rodeo which provided very entertaining acts and performances.
On what the members thought was the final day, they learned the the weather was too hazardous to go home. So to pass the time, the members went to the movie theater to watch a movie of their choice. After the movie the members came to the hotel and just relaxed. They either stayed in their rooms and just hang out, or they spent their time swimming in the pool.
On the last day, the members woke up early in the morning to head back to Hoxie. Even though the members had to return back to school as soon as they got back to Hoxie they still enjoyed the weekend.
The Hoxie FFA would like to give a special thanks to the Baalman family for the Dave and Buster’s experience. They would also like to thank the Foote family for the second night they gave us at the hotel.
